Morag Webster works in a variety of media including oil, watercolours, pastel, and sculpture. She also has experience as a theatre and film technician, as a scenic painter, and a props and sets builder.

For Morag Webster, an early interest in drawing evolved into a quest for expression in a variety of media including painting in oil, watercolours, and pastel, as well as forays into the production of sculpture using various materials. This drive has also led her to work as a theatre and film technician, as a scenic painter, and a props and sets builder.

Webster is also an accomplished portrait painter, completing numerous portrait commissions and has appeared on the television show “Star Portraits” (Bravo TV, 2010), as an award-winning portrait artist.

Involvement in community affairs has always been important to Morag Webster: she has served on the WBCA board (Toronto, Ontario), has been a past board member of London, Ontario’s Forest City Gallery (FCG), TAP Centre for Creativity, and for Open Air 2001 (organized by McIntosh Gallery, Western University), and has also been involved with various community theatres. She was a founding member of the Elliot Lake Arts Council (Elliot Lake, Ontario), is past-president of the Burlington, Ontario Fine Arts Guild, and has been involved with Fringe Nord and SCARF (Sudbury, Ontario). She is presently a member of the American Portrait Artist Society and Artists in Canada, Button Factory Arts (Waterloo, Ontario), The Street Painting Society, and IATSE 873.
